NLEX to raise toll rates next month

The increase shall take effect on March 2.Based on the announcement posted over its social media page, NLEX Corporation will add at least P5 in the open system and P0.72 per kilometer for the succeeding kilometers (closed system) starting March 2 — as approved by the Toll Regulatory Board.
According to the tollway operator, the aforementioned add-ons are the “consolidated amount of the first tranche of the approved periodic adjustments due in 2023 and the add-on toll for the completion of the P7.7-billion new Candaba Third Viaduct in 2024.”
“The increase due in 2023 was deferred and divided into two tranches to ease the impact on expressway users,” the company explained.
New toll matrix
Under the approved toll hike, motorists — based on their respective classes — shall pay the following additions under the open system:

To note, the open system runs from Metro Manila in the cities of Navotas, Valenzuela, and Caloocan to Marilao, Bulacan, while the closed system covers the portion between Bocaue, Bulacan, and Sta. Ines, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, as well as Subic-Tipo.
Those who will use the full length of NLEX between Metro Manila and Mabalacat City will pay an additional of:
- Class 1: P57
- Class 2: P142
- Class 3: P171
In October 2024, the firm increased its toll rates NLEX Connector.
