Mobile phone app Grab announced that it has partnered with tollways collection companies AutoSweep and EasyTrip.

According to Grab Financial Group Philippines Country Lead Erwin Yamsuan, the company has pursued the initiative to provide vehicle owners another mode of reloading their accounts following the adoption of cashless payment.

“Our partnership with AutoSweep and EasyTrip is one of Grab's initiatives to provide cashless payment options for Filipinos. With many livelihoods and industries relying on the transport of goods and services along the major highways in the country every day, it is important to ensure the safety and health of drivers when they pay for transport fees,” Yamsuan said.

“We hope that providing more convenient payment methods with both AutoSweep and EasyTrip will give our motorists and their families more peace of mind, especially during these times,” he added, noting that it will also save time for drivers who now do not have to stop at AutoSweep and EasyTrip reloading centers.

AutoSweep/Easytag in GrabPay feature

Grab forged an alliance with EasyTrip through CIS Bayad Center, Inc., ever since Grab rolled out its bills payment feature. The AutoSweep deal was made during the first quarter of 2021.

The AutoSweep RFID is used in Skyway, South Luzon Expressway, NAIA Expressway, Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway, Star Tollway, and the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway, and the EasyTrip RFID in the toll plazas of North Luzon Expressway, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, Cavite-Manila Expressway, and Cavite-Laguna Expressway.

To top up their AutoSweep and EasyTrip accounts using GrabPay, customers need to open their GrabApp and follow the steps below:

  • Go to Bills on the Grab app,
  • Select either AutoSweep or EasyTrip,
  • Enter account number and amount and wait for confirmation,

Aside from that, GrabPay also offers its customers the ability to pay utility companies and government agencies such as internet, cable and mobile phone service providers since it has existing partnerships with CableLink, Cignal TV, Destiny Cable, PLDT, Globe, Smart, Smart Bro and Sun Cellular as well as Meralco, VECO, Manila Water, and Maynilad

Further, GrabPay users can use the app to pay for government fees such as passport scheduling fees with the Department of Foreign Affairs, National Bureau of Investigation clearance, and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority. They can also take advantage of the app as it can also send donations to Unicef.
