Oil firms hike pump prices as NCR Plus enters 2nd week of MECQ
As the Greater Manila Area (identified by the national government as the National Capital Region Plus), enters the second of week of modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), oil firms are set to impose an across-the-board price hike on its pump products.
Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, April 20), local fuel players Caltex, Pilipinas Shell, Petron, and Cleanfuel announced via their respective advisories that they will be implementing a price increase on gasoline by P0.60 per liter and P0.70 per liter on diesel.
Aside from that, the aforementioned companies, except for Cleanfuel, will also jack up the price of kerosene by P0.85 per liter.
Last week, the same brands reduced gas prices by P0.25 per liter and kerosene by P0.10 per liter.
