Oil players to spike up diesel pump price by P4/L this week
Oil firms in the Philippines are set to implement another round of major pump price hike on diesel this week — the second consecutive increase for the month of August.

The adjustments on pump prices may be implemented as early as 12:01 a.m. tomorrow.Based on their respective advisories, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Seaoil, Petron and Unioil shall raise the price of diesel by P4-per-liter tomorrow (August 8). In addition, they will also jack up the retail price of gasoline products by P0.50 per liter.
Further, Caltex, Petron, and Seaoil shall also increase the price of kerosene by P2.75 per liter.
Last August 1, fuel companies already raised the price of diesel by P3.50 per liter, P3.25 on kerosene, and P2.10 per liter on gasoline. Moreover, liquefied petroleum gas went up by P4.55 per kilogram while the retail pricing of AutoLPG also grew by P2.54 per liter.
