Per Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines, the 10 dealer groups who have signed their letters of intent are Albert Co Group, AngCore Group, Autohub Group of Companies, AutoIcon Group, AVB Motorhub, Berjaya Group, Bonifacio Motors, Evolve Group, GR8 Motors, and Image Cars.Attending the event were key officers from 15 leading banks in the country, as well as principals from 34 Dealer Groups operating across the nation.
Per Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines, the event — spearheaded by Chery International General Manager for Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific Jeff Liu — served as an avenue for the company to present the brand, its background, product portfolio within the next three years, communications strategy, business policy, and aftersales plan.
“A key update was also given to the VIPs in attendance, namely the official timing of the launch and the formal introduction of the local team behind the brand,” Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines said in a press release.
The same statement shared that 10 dealers in the conference expressed their immediate intention to collaborate with Omoda and Jaecoo and “with several more dealer groups in the pipeline who are also interested to work with the brand in the near future.”
The 10 dealer groups who have signed their letters of intent are the following:
- Albert Co Group
- AngCore Group
- Autohub Group of Companies
- AutoIcon Group
- AVB Motorhub
- Berjaya Group
- Bonifacio Motors
- Evolve Group
- GR8 Motors
- Image Cars
“We are very excited that we are now finally able to show the actual car to our Bank and Dealer partners, and that we have given them the chance to try the car for themselves. But we are even more excited that our future partners think that our brand is very promising, with 10 Dealers Groups immediately expressing their interest to join us,” Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines Country Director Marco Chen said.
Earlier, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines executives met with Philippine Ambassador to China Jaime Florcruz and Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Dr. Ceferino Rodolfo to share the brand’s plans in the country.
Aside from that, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines also signed a memorandum of understanding with Banco De Oro to provide easy financing options to their would-be customers.
It is also possible that the brand’s formal launch could be moved to next year, after saying in a statement that Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines “is expected to formally launch on the first half of 2024."
During the first half of 2023, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines announced that the brand’s launch will be within the year.
