Omoda PH promises to deliver 'efficient aftersales support'
Wuhu, China: Upcoming Chinese automotive firm Omoda and Jaecoo vowed to deliver efficient aftersales support to its would-be market in the country.

The firm is planning to put up 15 dealerships in time for the launch.During a roundtable discussion here, Omoda and Jaecoo for Asia-Pacific and Eastern Europe General Manager Jeff Liu and Country Director for Philippines Marco Chen bared the firm's planning proactive initiatives to guarantee sufficient parts supply and quality service.
Chen said that the company is now in the process of finding a location that will be utilized as a replacement parts warehouse.
According to him, the company is undergoing the bidding process on where to put up its replacement storage hub that will help suffice the need of the market. The targeted warehouse, Chen claimed, will be available in time for their anticipated brand launch.
Aside from that, Chen also said that aside from ample supply of vehicle parts, the company would also equip its technicians – who will main the service areas of their dealerships nationwide — with the right knowledge to bolster its aftersales campaign.
According to him, select heads from the local technical support are set to undergo an extensive training in its home country and representatives from Omoda will visit the country to make sure that its technicians are highly-adept with vehicle troubleshooting even before they start retail in the Philippine market.
To help them with their efforts in the Philippines, Liu noted that Omoda and Jaecoo are set to open 15 dealerships nationwide. Without giving specific details yet, Liu said that the initial number would comprise of partners that would establish dealerships inside malls. According to Chen, an accessible service area shall be established for those who would have their showrooms inside malls.
Although admitting that no flagship dealership shall be established for its official launch (within the final quarter of 2023), Liu said that all its partners will follow the global company identity. This, he added, will be seen in their dealerships’ overall design.
Further, Chen said that their discussions with banking and financing firms are also driving them to have an adequate supply of spare parts as well as premium service.
Moreover, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines is also targeting to offer a seven-year and 200,000-kilometers warranty; alongside the 10-year or one-million engine coverage.
Such a program is similar to the Premium Preserv of Chery Auto Philippines under United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) distributorship. To note, Chery, Omoda and Jaecoo (who will operate as a subsidiary in the Philippine market) are all under the same global brand .
Amid the parallelism, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines shall offer its electric vehicle with an eight-year or 200,000-kilometer battery warranty.
To recall, Geely customers were recently airing out their aftersales concerns on social media. With that, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) posted an official statement over its Facebook page to address the issues.
