Online RFID enrollment now available
Just as the Metro Manila will be under general community quarantine (GCQ) starting June 1, expect the normal traffic condition back in the main road network leading to it.
To cut the possible traffic situation—as well as bolster government efforts for cashless transactions—Autosweep RFID now offers a portal for online PUV enrollment for those passing through San Miguel Corporation's (SMC) tollways.
This RFID system can be used at Skyway, South Luzon Expresswat (SLEX), Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIAx), Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) Tollway, and Tarlac Pangasinan (TPLEX).
Such move will complement the Paymaya and SquidPay's moves to provide cashless transaction for PUV drivers.
This initiative will also PUV drivers and operators to comply with the requirement of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to install RFID tags on their vehicle units.
Under LTFRB Memorandum Circular 2020-020, the agency directed RFID installation in PUVs, to maintain social distancing measures being implemented by Toll Regulatory Board at tollways and expressways.
The service can be availed by following the online application procedure:
- Go to www.autosweeprfid.com
- Click the PUV Enrollment tab
- Fill up the application form and make sure to key-in all the necessary information and click the submit button
- Expect a call from Autosweep RFID Representative.
