The ongoing lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic has certainly compelled a lot of commercial companies and organizations to change their approach to business, automotive brands included.
French car maker Peugeot is ensuring the stay-at-home order doesn’t keep you from owning the cars you love—much like what our website has been doing for years already.
Peugeot Online Shopping, dubbed as “the first website to offer customers a true end-to-end ordering a new car online experience,” allows car buyers to configure, get a part-ex deal, get a finance deal and order your new Peugeot online, and even have it delivered to your home without ever having to visit a dealership.
You can visit Peugeot’s car buying portal here.
Established in 2017, Peugeot is re-announcing the service for those who feel the need to buy a new car or replace their existing one.
Customers using Peugeot’s car purchase portal allows full configuration of their model, offering a wide array of options that include choices in powertrain, gearbox, paint finish, and interior trappings. Even the extras available at the dealerships are offered at the portal for a truly custom Peugeot ride.
After configuring their car, buyers can proceed directly to check out or save it for purchase later. Peugeot gives visitors 14 days to mull over their purchase. Those ready to finalize the transaction are required to have the following on hand:
Nevertheless, although the entire purchase process can be done online, receiving the car is another matter, as owners will still have to wait for UK’s coronavirus lockdown to lift before they can have their car delivered.
“When you're ready to check out, you can reserve your car for delivery once things get back to normal. You will also be able to select your preferred delivery date and time based on when your new car becomes available,” according to the Peugeot Online Shopping website.
This service is only available in the UK. It would be great if the French carmaker offered something like this locally, given the uncertainty we all face as Covid-19 cases continue to rise in the country.
