Peugeot Philippines has launched the facelifted version of the 3008 sport utility vehicle (SUV) as the new local distributor continues to show its aggressiveness in the local market.
Peugeot Philippines Brand Head Maricar Parco expressed excitement over the introduction of the new 3008, saying that the latest product unveiling is the company’s next step in revitalizing the brand lineup locally.
“This vehicle is a leader in the compact SUV market with an outstanding commercial performance in Europe and internationally. We are confident that its success will carry on in the Philippines,” Parco said.
The Astara-led Philippine arm of the French Lion marque said that the new Peugeot 3008 “embodies the best that Peugeot has to offer in a five-seater SUV.” The company added that “its new design has all the style characteristics that give it more status and distinction, while keeping a strong identity on the road."
Although there are three powertrain options that were made available in other markets, Peugeot Philippines is only offering the Malaysia-sourced vehicle with a 1.6-liter Twin Scroll Turbo High Pressure (THP) engine that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The power mill in the newly launched model is capable of producing 165hp and 240Nm.
The front fascia of the new Peugeot 3008 sports a new frameless grille design that complements the overall sporty design. The full LED headlamps have an extended illuminated fang-like daytime running lights with a chrome tip. For its rear, the vehicle has full LED lights that display 3D claws and scrolling turn indicators. The lights are covered with a clear, smoked glass, extending the black boot lid on each side of the vehicle.
The whole body of the vehicle rides on 18-inch Los Angeles alloy wheels.
On the inside, the new Peugeot 3008 is fitted with a refreshed i-Cockpit that features a fully customizable 12.3-inch digital head-up display, and a 10-inch central infotainment touchscreen.
Aside from that, the five-seater crossover has leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless mobile phone charging pad and USB charging ports.
Further, the new Peugeot 3008 is equipped with a multitude of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems including Active Blind Spot Detection, Active Lane Keep Assistance, and Advanced Driver Attention Warning.
Offered in four colors namely Metallic Copper, Nera Black, Pearl White and Amazonite Grey, the new Peugeot 3008 is priced at P2.09 million.
