The Astara-led Peugeot Philippines has officially announced the introduction of the third member of its pack: the new Traveller Premium.
In a statement, Peugeot Philippines brand head Maricar Parco said that the company’s expanding roster is aimed at positioning the French Lion marque “as a brand of choice for discerning Filipinos looking for premium European vehicles that promise a new mode of modern and stylish travel.”
The new Peugeot Traveller Premium is currently the local automotive distributor's sole offering that came directly from its home country France.
Up front, the new Peugeot Traveller Premium wears a trapezoidal chrome grille in the front that holds the Lion logo in the center of a three-dimensional embodiment, instead of the usual horizontal blades. It is flanked with Xenon headlights with LED lighting.
The vehicle also sports sleek lines and side panels that contribute to the people-hauling model's overall modern look.
Now with a lengthier body (5.30 meters long) and extended overhang, the new Peugeot Traveller Premium guarantees more cabin space for every passenger.
The middle-row captain chairs of the seven-seater van feature retractable sliding tables. The seats can also be swiveled that will allow second-row occupants to face those seated at rear third-row bench seats.
Passengers can enjoy the host of comfort and convenient technologies like power-sliding doors with hands-free access, LED mood lighting, automatic air conditioning with rear air vents, panoramic sunroof, sunshade curtains on all side windows, rear tailgate with opening window, and a rear luggage cover. Four 12-volt sockets are distributed in the passenger compartment, as well as a 220-volt socket and a USB port.
Further, the new Peugeot Traveller Premium is tailored with a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen system and 3.5-inch heads-up display.
As mentioned in an earlier report, the new Peugeot Traveller Premium is powered by a 2.0-liter BlueHDI Turbo engine paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox. The powertrain combination can deliver up to 150 horses and 370Nm of pulling power.
In terms of safety, the new Peugeot Traveller Premium comes with a number of features that include anti-brake lock system with electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability program, hill climb assist, driver attention alert, programmable cruise control with speed limiter and blind spot assist.
To add, the new Peugeot Traveller Premium also has the following security technologies and conveniences such as keyless entry and start, electric child safety lock, front and rear parking sensor, tire pressure detection, and rearview camera.
Available in three colors namely Bianca White, Artense Grey and Nera Black, the new Peugeot Traveller Premium has a price tag of P3.1 million.
Moreover, the vehicle is packaged with a manufacturer warranty of three years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, and periodic checks for every 10,000 kilometers mileage interval.
In 2018, Peugeot's local distributor Eurobrands Distributor Inc., launched the seven-seater offering alongside the diesel-powered 3008.
