Peugeot PH pride grows further with introduction of new 2008 SUV

Peugeot Philippines Brand Head Maricar Parco said that the newly-launched nameplate, together with the 5008 and 3008, will give Filipinos “access to the unmatched experience” that is bound to meet the varying needs and lifestyles of customers.
Assembled at the Stellantis manufacturing plant in Gurun, Malaysia, the new Peugeot 2008 sports a frameless grille design flanked by the iconic three-claw signature lighting system, recessed windshield, carved bonnet, chiseled lines, and sits on 17-inch black onyx and diamond cut rims.
On the inside, occupants will get to enjoy the new Peugeot 2008’s ergonomics as seen in the compact steering wheel, seven-inch high-definition touchscreen infotainment system and the i-cockpit 3D instrument cluster.
It provides ample storage to users as aside from the usual door pockets and glove box, it has been fitted with compartments at front center armrest as well as in front of the shift knob.
Powering the new Peugeot 2008 is a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged PureTech engine that can dish out a maximum of 130 horses and 230 Nm torque. The power mill is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Further, the latest model features a host of driving and safety technologies such as 180-degree rear view camera, active lane keep assist, driver attention assist, blind spot monitoring, and active safety brake.
Coming as standard features are six airbags, hill start assist, electronic stability program with anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution and emergency brake assist.
Moreover, the new Peugeot 2008 comes with advanced keyless entry (with auto-unlock and walk-away lock), front and rear parking sensors, rear camera, roof rails, and electric foldable wing mirrors.
Along with the 3008, the new Peugeot 2008 recently received accolades at the 2022 Thailand Car of the Year Awards.
The Peugeot 2008 was named best petrol SUV under 1,200cc category while the 3008 was hailed as best petrol SUV under 1,800cc.

Available in four color options namely Amazonite Grey, Pearl White, Nera Black and Fusion Orange (model's exclusive color), the new Peugeot 2008 is priced at P1.55 million.
Furthermore, the new Peugeot 2008 is packaged with a manufacturer warranty of three years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, and periodic checks for every 10,000 kilometers mileage interval.
