Peugeot Philippines is set to relaunch the Traveller Premium nameplate as part of the the new distributor group's (Astara) aggressive efforts to bolster its offerings.
The upcoming vehicle, which is said to have a longer body, is the third model for the French Lion marque’s local arm.
“Imported directly from France, the Peugeot Traveller Premium is a seven-seater van designed for families and business executives who prefer a well-appointed vehicle for their business travel or leisurely trips,” the company said in a statement.
“It will be available for viewing and test drives at all Peugeot dealerships very soon,” it added.
Since it is a product relaunch, the Peugeot Traveller Premium is expected to retain its 2.0-liter BlueHDI Turbo Diesel powertrain, making it the sole entry in the lineup that is fitted with a diesel engine.
The powertrain, which can provide 150hp and 370Nm, is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Further, it has yet to be determine whether the Peugeot Traveller Premium will sport the new logo or not.
Currently, the Peugeot Traveller Premium is priced at P3.1 million but a reliable source told Carmudi Philippines that vehicle might be pegged at a more affordable price point.
To note, the Peugeot Traveller Premium was launched in 2018, alongside the diesel-powered 3008.
