MANILA: Porsche has further electrified its Philippine lineup with the launching of the new all-electric Macan.
Over the weekend, the Stuttgart-headquartered marque’s latest local offering comes in two variants namely the Macan Turbo (model’s top-tier option) and the Macan 4 (mid-level trim).
According to the brand’s importer in the country, a third one will be introduced soon in the form of the rear-wheel-drive version.
“This charges up our range of offerings and gives discerning consumers a complete array of powertrain options to choose from — fully electric, hybrid, or combustion engine,” Porsche Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Roberto Coyiuto III said.
Here are some notable facts about the newly-revealed model.
The recently-unveiled new all-electric Porsche Macan is powered by two Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors that send power to the front and rear axles while the incoming iteration only has an electric mill that propels the vehicle using its hind wheels.

It also wears known Porsche DNA features as seen in the crisp lines and distinct proportions but improved to meet the electric vehicle requirements.
In addition, the new all-electric Porsche Macan is engineered to have short overhangs, a longer wheelbase, a sloping hood, and beefy fenders that complements the low flyline, raked coupe-like window silhouette, frameless doors, and the side blades. This complements other exterior appointments such as the two-part headlamps and a sculptural three-dimensional taillight strip.
Notably, the vehicle’s top-spec trim boasts additional design and sporty elements such as the following:
Inside the cabin of the new all-electric Porsche Macan is outfitted with a cockpit that features three screen displays (12.6-inch curved, a 10.9-inch center console, and a 10.9-inch passenger screen), ambient illumination with a communication light feature, a welcome animation, a new Themes app that adjusts the background color of the displays and the Porsche Communication Management that computes vehicle performance.
Porsche Philippines’ shared that the latest offering’s seating configuration for the driver and its passengers are lower than the previous version, Its center console’s sloping shape increases the impression of a low and performance-focused seating position while its huge window openings result in a bigger cabin feel.
Further, the new all-electric Porsche Macan has a trunk space that can carry up to 1,348 liters (rear seat folded) while its front trunk can store an additional 84 liters worth of cargo.
Moreover, the new all-electric Porsche Macan is not short on advanced technologies.
