Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) will implement a slight bump on the pricing of the new City Hatchback.
The company said that the arriving model shall hold an image price of P1.194 million — a P41,000-difference over the outgoing iteration’s P1.153 million price tag.
The announcement of the model’s image price was shared shortly after HCPI started the reservations for the car’s upcoming version beginning today (May 14) up to June 13. Further, HCPI reiterated that those who will reserve a unit will have the P5,000 reservation fee waived.
To recall, the firm said that the new Honda City Hatchback shall be launched one month from now.
Per the Japanese automaker’s local arm, the new Honda City Hatchback will come with updated aesthetics and technologies versus the soon-to-be-replaced iteration.
The forthcoming hatchback will feature a new body kit for its top-tier variant and will have an eight-inch touchscreen display audio with Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
In addition, the new City Hatchback shall be fitted with Honda Sensing suite of technologies that include adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking system, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation with lane departure warning, and lead car departure notification.
HCPI shared that the Philippine-bound Honda City will have five color options led by the new hue Sonic Gray Pearl (available in neighboring country Thailand), as well as the Platinum White Pearl, Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic.
In terms of performance, the new City Hatchback will likely be slapped with the same 1.5-liter, in-line four-cylinder, double overhead cam i-VTEC mill paired with a continuously variable transmission.
