Mitsubishi has officially introduced the Xforce for the Philippine market — marking the local arm’s re-entry in the crossover category since the ASX.
The said model, which is expected to shake the segment that it belongs to, was first seen in the country in the form of the XFC Concept last year.
Here are the details about Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation’s (MMPC) newly-launched offering.
The all-new Mitsubishi Xforce measures 4,390 millimeters (mm) long; 1,810 mm wide; 1,660 mm tall with a 2,650-wheelbase and 222-millimeter ground clearance.
Donning the Silky and Solid design concept, the exterior features of the aforementioned small sport utility vehicle (SUV) include an improved Dynamic Shield fascia complemented by the T-shaped headlamps and a distinct front grille.
Its rear comes with a hexaguard horizon motif and carries the same lighting pattern in the front for its taillamps.
Its cabin is a very familiar sight to the followers of the brand as the model is fitted with the Horizontal Axis pattern that is found inside the Xpander. It has a three-spoke multi-function leather steering wheel, an eight-inch colored LCD digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with the eight speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium setup and Speed Compensated Volume and equalizer functions.
Aside from that, the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce is also outfitted with an underseat tray in the front passenger side, rear seats that have a 40:20:40 split with eight-step recline and full flat folding functions, as well as a wireless charger (available in the top-of-the-line variant).
Powering the vehicle is the 4A91 1.5-liter double overhead cam gasoline mill with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system that is seen under its MPV sibling’s mill. However, instead of a four-speed automatic, the SUV’s engine is matched with a continuous variable transmission.
The powertrain combination offers a peak output of 103 horses and 141 Newton-meters of torque. Additionally, the vehicle comes with four drive modes: Wet (first introduced by Mitsubishi), Road, Gravel, and Mud.
Its myriad of safety and driver assistive features include the active stability and traction control, active yaw control, hill start assist, forward collision mitigation system, lead car departure notification, blind spot warning system, automatic high beam, and tire pressure monitoring system.
Retailed in Quartz White, Graphite Gray, Blade Silver, and Energetic Yellow, the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce is available in two trims:
