PH-spec Zeekr 001 to be launched next week?

Zeeker Philippines might formally introduce the 001 before the end of June 2024.

Such informed guess was made after the model was used as background for the invitation of the brand’s formal launch and product unveiling on June 29.

Earlier, Zeekr announced that the 001 Standard and Flagship trims will become available as part of its official lineup together with the X Premium and Flagship variants. The company also noted that the 009 will be launched come the third quarter of the year.

Below are some pieces of information about the Zeeker 001 based on the company’s official website.

The yet-to-be-revealed sport utility vehicle (SUV) boasts a dynamic shooting brake body that has a 0.23 cd drag coefficient and frameless doors. It also comes with intelligent matrix LED headlamps with adaptive high beam and a 1.47-meter integrated full-width taillights.

Offered in five body color options namely Phantom Black, Tech Grey, Crystal White, Electric Blue, and Energy Orange, the Zeeker 001 is fitted with 21-22-inch wheels with various styling — depending on the trim.

Meanwhile, the aforementioned crossover’s cabin features multi-color ambient lighting, multiple digital displays (15.4-inch center screen, 8.9-inch instrument cluster, 5.7-inch touchscreen at the rear), as well as N95 air-filtration technology and three-zone climate control for its air-conditioning system.

The said vehicle has a cargo capacity of as much as 2,144 liters of space, thanks to its adjustable seat configurations.

Further, the cabin’s colorway options are Midnight Blue/Polar White and Charcoal Black/ Stone Grey.

Moving the Zeeker 001 are two electric motors (that can deliver up to 536 horsepower) with an intelligent four-wheel-drive system. The powertrain setup lets the vehicle go 100 kilometers per hour in (kph) from standstill in 3.8 seconds and reach a peak speed of 200 kph.

Providing juice to the mill is a100-kilowatt-hour battery that allows the vehicle to cover as much as 620 kilometers (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure standard).

Its four-piston brake calipers and ventilated brake discs gives the Zeekr 001 a 100-0 kph minimum braking distance of 34.5 meters.

In addition, the Zeekr 001 boasts an electric air suspension system with five-level real-time height adjustment, five high-definition cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars.

The SUV’s pricing as well as other relevant details about the vehicle are expected to be revealed during the forthcoming event.
