Philippine-Made Auto Parts Take Center Stage at 2018 PH Auto & Parts Expo
The government-run Philippine Board of Investments (BOI) and private group Philippine Parts Makers Association (PPMA) partner once again to exhibit Pinoy-made auto parts at the 2018 Philippine Auto & Parts Expo (PhilAPEX).
This is the second time that the country's primary investments promotion agency align with the premier organization of local car parts makers following their successful partnership in last year's first PhilAPEX. This year’s event promises to be much bigger than the previous one, as the venue has now moved from the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) to the SMX Convention Center at the SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.
The two-day event will be held from August 9 to 10.
The 2nd PhilAPEX will retain last year's theme: "Gawang Pilipino, Para sa Pilipino". Same as before, the event will be an avenue for the top-quality craftsmanship and ingenuity that Filipino parts manufacturers are capable of.
The Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) program will also use the event as an opportunity to present its achievements.
"(PhilAPEX) showcases our local auto parts manufacturing capabilities, present the gains from the implementation of the two participating car makers (PCMs) in the program and provide the opportunity for Business to Business (B2B) networking among parts makers and vehicle manufacturers," Department of Trade Undersecretary and BOI Managing Head Ceferino Rodolfo said during the press launch for the event held at the BOI Building recently.
