With the growing demand for transport and logistics, W Express Corporation—formerly known as DHL Philippines—is boosting its capabilities as they have recently purchased light-duty trucks from Dongfeng’s local distributor.
In a statement, Pilipinas Autogroup, Incorporated (PilipinasAuto) said that the logistics firm has recently received the latest additions to their fleet following the initial pair of Dongfeng Captain E trucks delivered back in October 2020.
According to the commercial vehicle distributor, “W Express saw the value for money, ease of maintenance, and reliability of these light-duty trucks.”
“These were the important factors considered by W Express in its fleet expansion thus the repeat purchase of these tools of trade,” they noted.
Receiving the units from PilipinasAuto Sales and Technical Head Ramil Mendoza was W Express Creative and Communications Officer Calon Baltazar.
A 12-footer, four wheeler light duty truck, the Dongfeng Captain E has payload capacity of 2,450 kilograms and a Euro 4-compliant 2.8-liter common rail, turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine paired to five-speed manual transmission that can provide with 115 horsepower and 260Nm.
Fitted as standard in this light-duty offering are cab air-conditioning, power windows, radio, and keyless entry. For worry-free ownership, Dongfeng Captain E is backed up by a three-year or 100,000 kilometer warranty.
PilipinasAuto also distributes Tata Motors in the country.
