In a statement, the DOTr said that Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Mark Steven Pastor and MMDA Acting Chairman Carlo Dimayuga III discussed ways to improve the EDSA Busway to better serve the commuters.
To note, the EDSA Busway project is offering free rides until the end of the year following the order of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. while the EDSA Greenways Project — walkable nodes at different railway stations — is expected to be fully operational by February next year.
Further, the two agencies also strongly promoting the use of bicycles as a mode of active transport, saying that it is “relevant and tailor-fitted to the new normal in public transportation.”
