Polo Bautista takes podium at FORS Time Attack
After failing to finish the early grid of the race due to collision, Patrick Oliver “Polo” Bautista still takes podium position with a 3rd place finish in the “time trial” Bracket D division during the 2nd Leg of the 2015 Flat Out Race Series (FORS) held at the Batangas Racing Circuit.
The 16-year-old Slalom and Circuit racer champion accidentally bumped a car during the early stages of the race when another driver had a full stop on the third lap, damaging his B16 Honda radiator.
“It was frustrating because I was on the second spot. But that's part of race, you can't predict what will happen next,” said Bautista.
“After the collision, the team decided to retire our car early to preserve the engine on the next race,” added Bautista.
The young teen racer is representing the Carmudi PH Racing Team. The next leg of the race will be on May 9 at the Clark International Speedway.
