Porsche continues Formula E commitment
Porsche has furtheree its commitment to the ASEA Brown Boveri (ABB) Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) Formula E World Championship series.

Per Porsche, it will be actively involved in the design of Formula E’s fourth-generation cars.According to the German carmaker, it will compete in the single-seater electric car race series including, and up to, the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

We look forward to actively shaping the successful future of Formula E and thereby giving electric mobility even more momentum on a global scale,” Porsche Member of the Executive Board for Research and Development Michael Steiner was quoted saying.
The Tag Heuer Porsche Formula E Team’s Porsche 99X Electric will be used by the crew’s campaign up until 2027, when the race organization will require participants to use fourth-generation race cars.
Porsche, the carmaker pointed out, will be actively involved in the design of the aforementioned fourth-generation vehicle.
“We want to showcase innovative technologies and more sustainability in motor racing and be on the leading edge of new developments. Formula E plays a major role in this. The competition in this series is exceptionally high and enables us to provide important impetus for future production models. With such top-level and enthralling races, it excites people around the globe about electric mobility. We’re pleased to contribute to this in the future as well. We want to help shape Formula E in the long term,” Porsche Motorsport Vice President Thomas Laudenbach commented.
The Stuttgart-based company has made an early call to extend its support and commitment to Formula E.
At the moment, Tag Heuer Porsche Formula E Team is second in the Team standings with Pascal Werhlein and Antonio Felix Da Costa in fourth and seventh in the Driver’s standing.
“Porsche has been a valued and influential team since joining Formula E and we are excited that this will continue. The championship is enabling Porsche to accelerate the development of the innovative EV technologies we see in their road cars, while the team is an active member of the group, driving the development of the next generation of Formula E cars to arrive in season 13,” Formula E Founder and Chairman Alejandro Agag stated.
