Hot on the heels of its record-breaking run at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife, Porsche drops the specs of its fastest production Cayenne ever.
According to Porsche, the new high-performance Cayenne is fitted with a four-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that generates 631hp — 90hp more than the Cayenne Turbo Coupe.
Porsche adds that the twin-turbo engine under the Cayenne Turbo GT’s hood is currently the carmaker’s most powerful V8 to date.
Optimizations to the powertrain include the crankshaft, turbochargers, direct fuel injection system, as well as intake, and charge-air cooling. The engine is mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission, modified to provide faster shifting.
In addition, the 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT features a Porsche Traction Management (PTM) that’s equipped with a water-cooled transfer case and a Sports Exhaust system made of lightweight and particularly heat-resistant titanium fitted with centrally mounted tailpipes.
The Cayenne Turbo GT is equipped with a three-chamber air suspension system with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Power Steering Plus, and a rear-axle steering system giving the top-spec SUV better handling and a lower ride height.
Precise turn-ins and reduced body roll have been achieved thanks to the re-calibrated Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+).
The 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT also sports specially developed 22-inch Pirelli P Zero Corsa high-performance tires paired with the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB).
Making its debut in the performance SUV is the next-generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with improved functionality, a new user interface, and new operation logic.
Porsche’s 2022 Cayenne Turbo GT is only available in the Coupe body style and can be had in an optional Arctic Gray body paint.
The 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is available on Porsche Philippine’s website where it’s offered alongside other Cayenne trims including other performance models like the Cayenne GTS, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, and their Coupe counterparts.
