Porsche to globally premiere 5 vehicles in LA Auto Show

The upcoming LA Auto Show (LAAS), happening from November 19 to 28, is just one of the very few auto exhibits to open as the world slowly — but surely — recovers from the global pandemic.

Exhibits such as the LAAS is a great opportunity for many automotive brands to show their customers first-hand what they have to offer, and Porsche knows exactly how important this is.

That said, the German high-performance carmaker will feature five of its vehicles in the upcoming event — all of them to make their world premiere.

“California has been a kind of second home for Porsche for many decades. In 2018, we introduced the current generation of the 911 in Los Angeles. Now we are presenting the high-performance version of our mid-engined coupé — the 718 GT4 RS,” said Porsche AG Chairman of the Executive Board Oliver Blume.

He added, “These days, it's hard to picture the streets of California without our Taycan electric sports car. The new Taycan GTS models expand our portfolio even further. Overall, our young, innovative product range has been well received in the US. From January to September of this year we were able to increase deliveries in our second-largest single market by 30 percent.”

First of these vehicles are two GT4 models, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS and the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.

The former boasts a 7:04.511-minute record on the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife while the latter offers a top speed of 315kph and can go from zero to 100kph in just 3.4 seconds.

According to Porsche, deliveries of both GT4 models are set to commence in December — exactly the same month when the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport racing version will celebrate its premiere in Los Angeles.

Next are the two GTS models: the Taycan GTS and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo. The Taycan GTS comes with a 504-km electric range which makes the sporty all-rounder the first representative of the model series to hit the 500-km mark.

The Taycan GTS Sport Turismo, on the other hand, offers a functional luggage compartment with more than 1,200 liters of load capacity under the tailgate.

Last is the new Panamera Platinum Edition. The luxury sedan comes with all the bells and whistles including top-tier amenities such as 14-way electrically adjustable comfort seats, brushed aluminum and the door sill guards, and a Bose Surround Sound System, among others.

The new Panamera Platinum Edition will be offered in three exclusive variants, depending on the market with deliveries starting late January of next year.
