In an attempt to help usher in the age of electric mobility in the country, Porsche Philippines is set to launch its #SoulElectrified exhibit at SM Aura Premier in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
The goal of the event is to highlight the benefits of sustainable electric-powered mobility for users, as well as the environment.
Making a special appearance in the said event is the Porsche Taycan.
In addition, Porsche will be conducting product presentations, allowing the public to see the Taycan — and its numerous features — in closer detail.
This exhibit is part of Porsche’s initiative to promote electric mobility in the country. Porsche Philippines has so far invested more than P150 million to support the Taycan’s operation including the construction of advanced charging facilities, the acquisition of original Porsche or manufacturer-approved equipment and tools specific to servicing EVs, building up an inventory of genuine Taycan parts, and expenses for other necessary infrastructure.
The local arm of the German high-performance sports car manufacturer also invested in training its personnel. With the training conducted by Porsche AG, the technicians at Porsche Philippines will be properly equipped to service specialized vehicles like the Taycan and will have the right qualifications to operate the advanced software requirements of the fully electric vehicle.
Porsche Philippines wants Taycan owners to feel at peace when taking their EVs to the dealership for a scheduled once over, especially because these vehicles aren’t regular daily drivers.
With features like a Permanent magnet Synchronous Motor (PSM), the Porsche 4D Chassis Control (that analyzes and synchronizes all chassis systems in real-time), adaptive air suspension with three-chamber technology, and the Porsche Active Suspension Management electronic damper control system, taking the Taycan to your trusty talyer isn’t exactly an option.
The new Taycan rides on 20-inch Taycan Turbo Aero wheels with black anodized brake calipers and six-piston brakes at the front and four-piston brakes at the rear.
Step inside the cabin and you’ll be greeted by a 16.8-inch free-standing curved instrument cluster and a central 10.9-inch infotainment display. Porsche Philippines also offers optional equipment that adds another display for the front passenger.
Elevating the interior amenities are front comfort seats with 14-way power adjustment, Bose Surround Sound, four-zone climate control, Park Assist with a reverse camera, an ionizer to clean up the air in the cabin, ambient lighting, and Porsche Electric Sport Sound, which modulates the natural sound emitted by the car’s electric powertrain. Spacious luggage compartments can be found in the front and the rear of the Taycan.
The new Taycan is fitted with an 800-volt system that allows it to be charged from five percent to 80 percent in under 30 minutes.
That said, Porsche Philippines’ #SoulElectrified exhibit will feature a charger plugged into a conventional electrical socket to highlight how easy it is to charge the Taycan.
The #SoulElectrified exhibit is slated to run from June 18 to 24.
