Porsche has unleashed the first hybrid 911.
Per the German carmaker, the Porsche 911 Carerra GTS uses a hybrid powertrain system that can dish out as much as 533 horsepower with 610 Newton-meters of pulling power.
It is made up of a 3.6-liter gasoline engine and a permanent magnet synchronous motor integrated into the new, more powerful eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Acceleration-wise, the Porsche 911 Carerra GTS can zoom from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in three seconds with a top speed of 312 kph.
The hybrid Porsche 911 also gets a model-specific bumper, Matrix LED headlamps, and large cooling vents at the fore. It rides on 21-inch wheels with a total of seven available designs, including one with carbon blades to help reduce the drag coefficient. At the back, the vehicle gets a redesigned light strip with an integrated arc and “PORSCHE” logo as well as a model-specific exhaust.
Its cabin boasts a 12.6-inch instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch infotainment system.
