Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Drive to Royal Wedding Reception in Electric Jaguar

Jaguar E-Type Zero

The world watched the new royal couple emerge from St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, as Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle were finally wed. While other people focused on the other aspects of the wedding, car lovers were quick to notice the Jaguar E-Type Zero that the newly crowned Duke and Duchess of Sussex rode to their reception.

The Jaguar E-Type is what happens when the best of the old is combined with the best of the new. The British luxury car maker left as much of the original 1968 Series 1.5 E-Type intact as possible while imbuing it with a more environmentally-friendly electric motor and battery pack. The new electric motor replaces the inline-six engine of the original. But while the E-Type is no longer guzzling gasoline, it is also much faster, making 0-100 kph in under 7 seconds.

With a range of 270 kilometers, the E-Type Zero packs plenty of power to get the new Royal lovebirds from Windsor Castle to the wedding reception venue at Frogmore House on the Windsor Estate. Check out the video of the couple and the car below.
