Mercedes-Benz unveiled what it called the "ultimate dream car for four-wheeled adventurers," the G-Class Professional Line, at the IAA Mobility.
The Professional Line wears off-road inspired exterior and interior elements from the G manufaktur customization program. An Exclusive and AMG Line is in the program's pipeline of customization options.
Standard features in the G-Class' Professional Line kit include stone guard grilles for the headlights, mud flaps front and rear, and chunky tires that wrap the 18-inch five-spoke wheels. The show vehicle includes one among the numerous options, such as this Copper Orange paint finish.
The Professional Line also brings a spare wheel holder and a roof rack, above which a roof tent can be attached.
Like the abovementioned accessories, the roof, bumpers, and wheel arch extensions are finished in G manufaktur's Night Black Magno paint. The exterior mirror housings, Mercedes star, and number plate holder are also finished in black as part of the optional Night package.
Inside, the black leather upholstery and open-pore ash veneer with black tinting complete the G-Class Professional package.
Mercedes-Benz said this orange SUV offers a glimpse of the customization options that will be offered in 2022 in the G-Class range. A choice of ambient lighting with 64 colors, instead of the previous eight, as well as 10 color palettes, will be made available.
The G-Class will also be equipped as standard with pre-equipment for rear-seat entertainment and pre-equipment for a towing hitch.
