Ram expands truck lineup with new Laramie and Rebel models
Ram announced in a recent press release that it will expand its light-duty pickup truck lineup by adding new Laramie and Rebel models.
According to the American truck maker, the Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Ram 1500 Rebel G/T will strengthen the brand’s foothold in the off-road performance truck segment.
“Ram has a strong history of performance trucks, and the Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T models add to that while expanding the light-duty lineup with the segment’s best combination of performance, capability, luxury, and technology,” said Ram Brand CEO Mike Koval Jr.
“Ram 1500 G/T buyers will enjoy this combination of performance and luxury that the newest additions to our versatile lineup offer,” added the Ram boss.
To be introduced as 2022 year models, both the Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Ram 1500 Rebel G/T will feature additional exterior and interior accents unique to the G/T trim. Included are sport performance hoods and G/T decals.
Also featured are paddle shifters, a console-mounted performance shifter, and a metal pedal kit.
The seats are also G/T-specific bucket seats that feature the G/T logo with high bolsters and all-weather floor mats from Mopar.
Powering the all-new 1500 G/T pickup truck models are 5.7-liter V-8 engines with eTorque mild-hybrid assist.
The 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T models will be released in the US market in the third quarter of 2021. Pricing for the Ram 1500 Laramie G/T starts at US$55,480 while the 1500 Rebel G/T starts at US$55,375. According to Ram, these prices exclude a $1,695 destination fee.
Ram has also recently unveiled the 1500 10th Anniversary Edition pickup truck that features light-colored seats, a 10th edition center console badge, a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic tranny, and a limited-edition styled glove box.
