The Range Rover SUV celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, and carmaker Land Rover has done some pretty major moves to beef up its lineup. Aside from introducing the Limited Edition Fifty, the British luxury SUV brand is also adding a mild hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) to the Range Rover family.

The MHEV unit pairs a straight-six Ingenium diesel engine with a 48v MHEV technology. This new powertrain combo will be available in varying outputs of 183kW (245hp), 221kW (296hp), and 258kW (346hp).

Land Rover also adds two special editions—a new Westminster edition and SVAutobiography Dynamic Black—edition to provide customers with more choices for their celebratory offerings.

Inspired by the Range Rover Vogue, the new Westminster Edition adds privacy glass and 21-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels to the model it’s based on, along with a range of solid, metallic, and Premium Metallic finishes. Providing a choice of gasoline, diesel and plug-in hybrid electric power, the Westminster Edition welcomes occupants to cabin dressed up with grand black trims, suede headliner, a sliding panoramic roof, softclose doors, and a potent 19-speaker Meridian Surround audio system.

There’s also a couple of black editions available, a Westminster Black Edition and SVAutobiography Dynamic Black. The former adds Land Rover’s Black Exterior Pack and offers buyers with three wheel options ranging from a 21-inch nine-spoke design to a distinctive 22-inch Gloss Black nine split-spoke design. Meanwhile, the SVAutobiography Dynamic Black sees the specialists at Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations provide the variant with a fresh distinctive take—in black, of course.

Meanwhile, the special edition ‘Fifty’ SUV will see a limited run of only 1970 units, in reference to the year the Range Rover was unveiled to the world. Naturally, it will come with a lot of exclusive features including bespoke paint choices (Carpathian Grey, Rosello Red, Aruba, and Santorini Black), Auric Atlas exterior accents, two unique 22-inch wheel designs, and rectangular Fifty emblems designed by Gerry McGovern, Land Rover’s design head.

Each car will also come with its own distinct numbering on the center console (the metal plate you see below), identifying each vehicle as ‘1 of 1970’ and so on. Those who prefer an even rarer Fifty can opt for a Tuscan Blue, Bahama Gold, or Davos White paint job, available in “extremely limited numbers,” according to the British luxury marque.

Pricing and specifications for these special editions are yet to be released. Pricing for the current edition Range Rover starts at PHP12.49 million while it’s PHP8. 79 million for the Range Rover Sport.

Meanwhile, the Range Rover Velar begins at PHP5.89 million and the Evoque, PHP5.29 million.
