The latest iteration of the Honda City is now available in Thailand.
On Honda Cars Thailand’s website, the new City appears to be offered in three internal combustion engine (ICE) variants (V, SV, and RS) and in two electrified trims (e:HEV SV and e:HEV RS).
They are priced from TBH 629,000 ( approximately P994,296) to TBH 839,000 (around P1.325 million).
In Thailand, the ICE-powered models of the new Honda City are equipped with a 1.0-liter engine mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). This setup makes about 120 horsepower (hp) and 173 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
As for the hybrid models, they are fitted with a larger 1.5-liter powerplant paired with a lithium-ion battery. An electronic CVT is responsible for gear shifting. This setup makes somewhere around 97hp and 127Nm of pulling power.
The Thailand-market Honda City also sports new exterior and interior updates such as a new grille, headlights, rear bumper, and an eight-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Here in the Philippines, Honda’s local arm will reveal the updated version of the City this month so fans of the nameplate will not have to wait long to find out the full specifications of the new Philippine-market City.
In fact, the new Honda City will be displayed at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall on July 13-16 from 10 a.m.- 10 p.m.
