Road improvement in Zamboanga Sibugay expected to boost tourism

The program has a P7.2-million budget under the 2021 General Appropriations Act.In a statement, the Department of Public Works and Highways said that the 930-meter road is expected to provide better access for tourists as it is one of the convergence projects under the DPWH’s Tourism Roads Infrastructure Program (TRIP) and the Department of Tourism (DOT).
“Aside from the promotion of the emerging tourist spot, the road improvement is also set to bolster additional livelihood sources and improve mobility of goods and services to the area,” DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia said.
Constructed in the total amount of P7.2-million under the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA), the road project involved road concreting and slope protection works implemented by DPWH Zamboanga Sibugay First District Engineering Office (DEO).
