KEY TAKEAWAYS
What is the estimated pricing of the Rolls-Royce Spectre?
Pre Rolls-Royce, the Spectre will be priced in between the Cullinan and the Phantom which means it would bet in the US$400,000 (P23.521 million) mark. When is the expected launch date of the Rolls-Royce Spectre?
The Rolls-Royce Spectre is expected to roll out in the fourth quarter of 2023.While the final power, acceleration, and range figures are still being refined, the British luxury automotive marque said that the Rolls-Royce Spectre EV has an estimated maximum power output of 576 horsepower (hp) and an estimated all-electric range of 520 kilometers (km) per Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLPT) standards.
The all-electric powertrain fitted on the Rolls-Royce Spectre can also dish out 900Nm of pulling power and allows it to zoom from standstill to 100km in just 4.5 seconds.
“Spectre possesses all the qualities that have secured the Rolls-Royce legend. This incredible motor car, conceived from the very beginning as our first fully-electric model, is silent, powerful and demonstrates how perfectly Rolls-Royce is suited to electrification. Spectre’s all-electric powertrain will assure the marque’s sustained success and relevance while dramatically increasing the definition of each characteristic that makes a Rolls-Royce a Rolls-Royce,” said Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Chief Executive (CEO) Torsten Müller-Ötvös.
Though the figures are all but estimates, the numbers are quite impressive given that the Spectre is a full-fledged grand tourer that carries all the bells and whistles one would expect from a Rolls-Royce car. These include bespoke Starlight Doors with available Canadel Panelling, the Illuminated Fascia, and the quintessential Rolls-Royce umbrella, to name a few.
Rolls-Royce added that like its conventional internal combustion engine (ICE)-powered brethren, the cabin of the Spectre EV can also be optioned with elegant amenities depending on the customer’s preferences.
Similarly, the exterior of the all-electric motorcar wears luxurious appointments that reflect its interior. After all, the Rolls-Royce Spectre is touted as an “Ultra-Luxury Electric Super Coupe.”
At the fore is the iconic Pantheon grille, said to be made larger specifically for the Rolls-Royce Spectre, flanked by split headlights. Atop is the new, aerodynamic Spirit of Ecstacy figurine. Changes made to the front end reportedly enhance the EV’s unprecedented drag coefficient, which at just 0.25 drag coefficient (cd), makes Spectre Rolls-Royce’s most aerodynamic motorcar, ever.
The rear of the Rolls-Royce Spectre features large taillamps. The jewel-like vertical tail lamps themselves are colorless for neutrality, in anticipation of the myriad of colorways selected by clients during the commissioning process.
The Rolls-Royce Spectre EV rides on 23-inch wheels.
According to London-based carmaker, the Rolls-Royce Spectre will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2023. Pricing, though not yet confirmed, will be somewhere in between the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and the Rolls-Royce Phantom or around US$400,000 (P23.521 million).
“At Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, perfection is about more than making the very best products. It is a culture, an attitude, and our guiding philosophy. Indeed, it is our founding father Sir Henry Royce who said, ‘strive for perfection in everything you do.’ Spectre has been conceived within this culture. It is perfectly in tune with the sensibilities of our time. It states the direction for the future of our marque and perfectly answers a call from the most discerning individuals in the world to elevate the electric motor car experience because Spectre is a Rolls-Royce first and an electric car second,” added the Rolls-Royce boss.
