This year's Goodwood Festival of Speed is scheduled from June 23 to 26.Rolls-Royce, a marque familiar with such affairs, announced that it will showcase a host of Black Badge models at the upcoming event.
The Rolls-Royce Black Badge is the automotive firm’s response to a new type of client. Black Badge cars often have a more distinct character than their counterparts and these unique personalities usually transcend the typical exterior aesthetic. Designed with more torque, control, and power, Rolls-Royce Black Badge models are built for those who reject conformity and live on their own terms. It is for the innovators, trailblazers, rule-breakers — and above all — those who dare.
“Each year many clients, friends of the brand, and media come together for the Festival of Speed. With its location, just a stone’s throw away from The Home of Rolls-Royce on the Goodwood Estate, the Festival of Speed is a very important event for the brand. This year, our full Black Badge portfolio will be displayed at the event on the Laundry Green. I am delighted to showcase such highly Bespoke cars in vivacious colors and luxurious hues, testament to the creativity of our artisans, designers, and engineers,” said Rolls-Royce Motor Cars UK, Europe, Russia, and Central Asia Regional Director Boris Weletzky.
To be displayed on the Festival’s Laundry Green, adjacent to Goodwood House, will be a selection of bespoke commissions of the Black Badge Wraith, Black Badge Dawn, and Black Badge Cullinan.
The Black Badge Wraith gracing the Rolls-Royce stand is finished in two-tone paint: the top in Black while the lower portion in Tucana Purple. A Mandarin coachline showcases the marque’s surface finish capabilities. Inside, a Mandarin and black theme create a dramatic and powerful aesthetic.
Alongside it is the Black Badge Dawn, swathed in a two-tone Jasmine with Black finish. This specimen also has its steering wheel in a similar two-tone treatment. The flanks of its bold coachwork are underscored by 21-inch Black Badge wheels.
Meanwhile, the Black Badge Cullinan scheduled to make its Goodwood appearance will be presented in Dark Olive with a single Mandarin coachline and Mandarin brake calipers. The signature Black Badge design flourishes, including a milled carbon fiber Spirit of Ecstasy, and 22-inch Black Badge wheels embolden its exterior aesthetic.
Also to be featured is the purest expression of a Rolls-Royce Black Badge to date — the Black Badge Ghost.
It will boast a Galileo Blue and Black exterior finish with striking Red calipers and a single wheel center pinstripe in Galileo Blue. The blue theme is carried through to the interior, with the seat piping and Bespoke interior leather in Galileo Blue.
A second Black Badge Ghost will be on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed VIP area and will come with a vibrant Lime Green coachwork and a dark carbon fiber Spirit of Ecstasy.
Other Rolls-Royce motor cars attending the Festival of Speed include a Black Badge Dawn as a Courtesy Car and a Black Badge Cullinan as a Festival Course Safety Car.
