Royal Enfield PH Brings In 2019 Interceptor INT 650, Continental GT 650
On Wednesday, February 20, Royal Enfield PH introduced two of the Indian motorcycle manufacturer's latest offerings--the 2019 Interceptor INT 650 and Continental GT 650--at a launch held at En Tirage Restaurant in Mandaluyong City.
Jimmy Barinaga, chief executive officer of Royal Enfield PH, teased the local arrival of the two models during the announcement of the newly-assembled Royal Enfield Adventure Team last year.
Both bikes are the first to be equipped with a twin-cylinder engine for the brand since the 1970s. The engine, with a 650cc displacement, produces 47hp @7250 rpm and a 52 Nm @ 5250 rpm peak torque. The engine is linked to a six-speed transmission augmented by a slipper clutch with assist feature. The engine accesses 80 percent of that peak torque as early as 2500 rpm.
The Continental GT 650 features clip-on handlebars, 18-inch wheels, and an angular 12.5-liter fuel tank. Trims and pricing are as follows:
- Standard - PHP375,000
- Custom - PHP380,000
- Chrome - PHP385,000
The Interceptor INT 650, on the other hand, boasts a teardrop tank with 12.7-liter capacity, quilted seat, and wide braced handles. It also has three trims on offer:
- Standard - PHP365,000
- Custom - PHP370,000
- Chrome - PHP375,000
Royal Enfield is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Hardcore Brothers Custom Motorcycles, Inc. Check out these new bikes at their showroom at Bagtikan St. in Makati.
