SAIC Motor PH to bring 2nd IM offering soon
SAIC Motor Philippines is set to expand the Morris Garages’ (MG) premium electric vehicle offering (EV) in the country with the expected launch of the IM L7.

The IM L7 was previewed during the opening of the MG Gallery.MG Philippines Marketing Director Dax Avenido confirmed its arrival after the electrified luxury sedan was previewed during the opening of MG Gallery in Quezon City.
However, he said that the company has yet to announce its formal launch.
“Customers may view the IM L7 here at the MG Gallery to check out its features,” he told Carmudi Philippines.
While waiting for the company to formally start selling the IM L7, below are some notable facts about the forthcoming model.
The luxury electric car is 5,108 millimeters (mm) long; 1,960 mm wide; and 1,485 mm tall — with a 3,100-mm wheelbase.
Outside, the IM L7 features digital lighting projector headlights, interactive signal communication taillamps, frameless suction doors, Stardome panoramic glass roof, and ultra-high pixel car cameras.
Its highly-futuristic cabin sports an unconventional steering wheel, elevated touchscreen at the center console, frameless entertainment screen (which extends the whole dashboard) paired with a 22-speaker setup, and certified fine-wood decoration from Lake Como.
Propelling the IM L7 are two electric motors that provide a peak churn of 571 horsepower and 725 Newton-meters of torque. The all-wheel-drive mill is matched to a 100-kilowatt-hour battery that allows the vehicle to cover up to 615 kilometers (according to Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure).
Its host of safety features include Brembo four-piston front calipers, proactive vision supplement system, and active kinematics control.
The price of the IM L7 might be around P2.6-P3 million as the IM L7’s current price in China starts at $42,000 (approximately P2.451 million).
To recall, MG Philippines’ first IM model in the country was the LS7, an electric crossover that was showcased at the Manila International Auto Show 2024. Per Avenido, the crossover's initial batch might arrive in the country within the year to distribute the pre-ordered units.
