Since its launch, Honda’s free test ride program has attracted a couple of riders who had fun testing some of the brand’s big bikes.
“With its powerful performance, I can see that I can take it anywhere. I would also enjoy riding it on heavy trails. I will recommend the new CRF1100L Africa Twin to others because of its powerful performance. I can definitely take it everywhere, even on trails! Absolutely a big bike you should not miss out on!” remarked Vincent Joseph Platon (in photo below), a 43-year-old physician who tried out the new CRF1100L Africa Twin.
Meanwhile, Jay Saguid, a 44-year-old seaman who was among those who put the CRF1100L Africa Twin through its paces, could only think of one word — power.
The CRF1100L Africa Twin packs a 1,084cc engine mated to a six-speed transmission and features a 45mm cartridge-type inverted telescopic fork at the front as well as a Monoblock aluminum swingarm with Pro-Link suspension at the rear.
The CRF1100L Africa Twin has a sticker price of P940,000.
On the other hand, 25-year-old software engineer Joshua Allen Sabio (in photo below), commented that the CB500X rides “very soft and smooth.” Thanks to its six-speed multi-plate wet clutch, the expressway-legal bike exceeded Sabio’s expectations.
“Since I’m looking for a starter adventure bike, The all-new CB500X is the perfect fit for me. I would choose Honda motorcycles versus other models of this class,” said Sabio.
The CB500X comes with a 471cc engine, 41mm Showa FF-BP USD forks at the front, and a Prolink Mono with a five-stage pre-load adjuster at the rear.
It comes with a price tag of P380,000.
“For this on- and off-road adventure bike, I think its amazing Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCS) is the all-new X-ADV’s main selling point. It allows riders to use smartphone features via voice command. It can even help link my smartphone via Bluetooth through the Honda Road Sync application and includes a Bluetooth-capable intercom,” said Jose Sebastian Arguelles (in photo below), a 45-year-old BPO employee who tried the all-new X-ADV.
The Honda X-ADV is an expressway-legal maxi scooter that boasts a 745cc engine as well as some of the latest technological amenities like the aforementioned connectivity features.
The Honda X-ADV is priced at P830,000.
