Aimed to ease range anxiety to EV owners, the latest EV charging site is 250 kilometers away from Metro Manila. This, SPC explained, will help EV owners reach famous destinations up north such as La Union, Baguio, and Vigan and enjoy zero-tailpipe emissions.
The Shell Recharge TPLEX site features chargers that can juice up four EV units at the same time. It includes a 180-kilowatt (kW) DC ultra-rapid charger with two CCS2 charging points that are utilized by Hyundai, Lexus, Kia, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar, Land Rover, and BMW. The chargers can juice up EV batteries from 10-80 percent in under 30 minutes.
On the other hand, those who are not in a rush may charge their vehicles on either of the two 22kW AC charging points. While waiting, they may grab a bite and a drink at Shell Select or Shell Café located on-site.
“To ensure a seamless charging experience for long-distance EV journeys, it’s crucial to have fast, high-performance charging infrastructure and on-site convenience amenities. Shell is ready to evolve its Mobility offers aligned to the needs of our customers today and the future,” SPC Vice President for Mobility Randy Del Valle said.
