Two special-edition Mitsubishi Outlander has been released in the United States (US) to commemorate the brand's 40-year history in the continent.
Per Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA), the anniversary-edition Outlander and Outlander plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) are finished with a unique paint scheme, which combines a Black Diamond paint with a Bronze roof; special 40th-anniversary badging, and premium accessories. The latter includes exterior appointments, which are illuminated Dynamic Shield front fascia, door scuff plates, metal cargo scuff plates, a chrome Outlander hood emblem, and a rear bumper protector.
Further, its interior features quilted-leather door inserts in black and saddle tan, a black headliner and pillars, and semi-aniline leather-appointed seating surfaces. Also notable is its illuminated center console.
MMNA added that all 40th Anniversary models are fitted with the brand’s signature Super All-wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system, a power panoramic sunroof, Bose Premium sound system, and an 10.8-inch Head-Up Display as standard.

Our 40th Anniversary Special Edition Outlander and Outlander PHEV are more than just a celebration of that brand heritage, they are a powerful step forward into our next 40 years of success in the US,” said MMNA President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Chaffin.
The US-spec Mitsubishi Outlander 40th Anniversary Edition is priced at US$39,995 (P2.193 million) while the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 40th Anniversary Edition is priced at US$49,995 (P2.743 million).
