Spotify App Just Got Safer, Easier for Android Users
Soon, drivers and passengers inside their cars will be able to use a safer app while on the road. Spotify recently announced a new feature that will soon be available to all Android users who listen to podcasts and music in their vehicles.
New Design Interface
Now, Spotify's traditional display for Car View, has changed, with a newly-redesigned interface for easier viewing and safer driving. Distractions are kept to a bare minimum, with larger control buttons and track titles created to make things easier to view. Spotify has also deleted the Album Art feature for a more minimalist feel to the design.
The "Now Playing" Feature
The "Now Playing" view, which has been introduced to select users since December, will be made officially available over the upcoming week. It allows users to easily listen to Spotify just by using their car's Bluetooth system.
The steps are now easier: Just connect to your car's Bluetooth system and Spotify will automatically open and start playing your music or podcast. To search for your playlist, just tap Your Library, Browse, or Search. You can also skip to a different track by using the seek bar, or use the shuffle mode to add variety to your listening experience.
Currently, this feature is only available for Android phones. According to Spotify, the iOS version "will be available after updates to other devices have been made."
