Kia has updated its longest-running nameplate in the Philippines, the Carnival.
According to the Ayala-led vehicle distributor, the vehicle’s latest version combines “opulent comfort and bold design with cutting-edge technology” and is aligned with the company’s latest imagery.
“The new Kia Carnival is meticulously engineered to elevate family travel, catering specifically to modern executives and family-oriented individuals. With unmatched versatility and advanced safety features, it embodies the essence of sophistication and practicality,” the company noted.
Per Kia Philippines Chief Operating Officer Brian Buendia, the aforementioned multi-purpose vehicle “fuses heritage with innovation.”
“As the longest active nameplate in the Kia Philippines lineup, the Carnival symbolizes family and adventure, and our latest model melds this heritage with unrivaled comfort and state-of-the-art safety and technology. We are excited to remain a part of our customers' journeys,” he said.
The new Kia Carnival is 5,155 millimeters (mm) long; 1,995 mm wide; 1,740 mm tall with a 3,090-mm wheelbase and 162-mm ground clearance.
Up front, the vehicle comes with a revised Tiger Nose grille, multi-faceted reflector-type LED vertical headlamps and the Star Map daytime running lights. Its rear, on the other hand, also features Star Map graphic LED lighting and a remodeled skid plate.
Depending on the trim, the family hauler rides on 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels.
Customers of the new Kia Carnival will greet its occupants with captain seats (manual or electronically adjustable), six-speaker sound set-up, and a variety of charging outlets (six USB charging points, a wireless charging dock, and three 12-volt 180-Watt outlets).
Under the hood of the new Kia Carnival is the potent 2.2-liter Smartstream turbo diesel engine that can deliver as much as 200 horsepower. Engineered with four drive modes (Normal, Eco, Sport, and Smart), the mill sends its power to the front wheels via the eight-speed automatic transmission.
In addition, the vehicle is equipped with the Kia DriveWise driver assistive safety technologies, which include cruise control (smart or standard), forward collision-avoidance assist and a surround view monitor that complement comprehensive safety features such as the eight-airbag system, front and rear parking sensors, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, hill start assist — among others.
Retailed in Aurora Black Pearl, Snow White Pearl, and the variant-exclusive Ceramic Silver body colors, here are the new Kia Carnival’s variants and their respective prices:
Kia Philippines shared that the both variations are packaged with the standard five-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance, that gives emergency towing, minor onsite repairs, and medical and personal assistance.
