SsangYong PH to offer trade-ins and more via Lifestyle Elite program
SsangYong Philippines just launched a new customer incentive program that lets customers trade in their SsangYong vehicles for a brand-new one.
Through the SsangYong Lifestyle Elite program the South Korean carmaker will let owners—who made a purchase from May 1, 2021 onward—trade in their current vehicle in exchange for a new unit any time within the next five years.
New customers who will opt to take part in this new scheme will become SsangYong Lifestyle Elite members and receive a membership card as proof of their eligibility for the trade-up plan.
The value of pre-owned vehicles will be based on the company’s own predetermined evaluation schedule. And while SsangYong says the pricing will be guaranteed, the vehicle’s age and mileage at the time of trade-up, compliance with the regular maintenance schedule, and overall vehicle condition will still be factors to be considered in putting a finger on its resale value.
In addition, members will get other perks such as a three-year free periodic maintenance service, a five-year warranty, a 20-percent discount on SsangYong’s genuine parts, and a 20-percent discount on mobile services for SsangYong vehicles.
SsangYong’s Lifestyle Elite program also entitles members to a Cykel e-bike.
SsangYong says that the Cykel e-bike was designed and engineered by enthusiasts committed to delivering products for urbanites who want to explore and enjoy moments of outdoor escape at their own leisure and pace.
The automaker also says that future purchases of SsangYong models may include other lifestyle gifts and opportunities — all of which will contribute to the enhancement of the customers’ leisure time and well-being and are anchored to the company’s “We Keep Your Life Moving” philosophy.
“SsangYong Berjaya Motor Philippines continues to develop ways to make vehicle ownership a rewarding and enjoyable experience for our customers,” said SsangYong Philippines president, Japheth Castillo.
“We believe customer-centric programs such as our SsangYong Lifestyle Elite can ultimately benefit our customers by completing their ownership journey as their cars transition from brand new to quality-assured vehicles in the future. The peace of mind in driving and maintaining one’s vehicle should also extend to the time a new car will be needed in the household. And this reassurance is just what SsangYong Lifestyle Elite intends to give to our future customers,” he continued.
As of the moment, SsangYong vehicles purchased from the company’s Sta. Rosa dealership this month of May will be eligible for inclusion in the program.
The launch of the SsangYong Lifestyle Elite program could be a part of the South Korean SUV specialist’s rehabilitation plan as it recently found itself in hot water after Mahindra refused to further invest in SsangYong’s operations.
Mahindra has had difficulties turning around the South Korean brand after purchasing 75 percent of the near-bankrupt firm in 2010.
Touting their pickups and SUVs with e-bikes and trade-in schemes might help the struggling “Double Dragon” attract local prospective car buyers.
