Subaru brings Russ Swift back to PH this weekend

Motor Image Pilipinas Inc. (MIPI) will bring back Guinness World Record holder Russ Swift to the Philippines to perform this coming week at Clark, Pampanga.

The world-renowned stunt driver is set to showcase the capabilities of the Subaru’s Boxer engine with the new Forester sport utility vehicle, the latest iteration of the BRZ sports coupe and the all-new WRX sedan on the event dubbed as “Excite Your Senses: the Russ Swift Stunt Show.”

The three-day event will be partnered with the Subaru Advanced Technology Drive, where customers can test drive the brand’s latest offerings in a special track designed to highlight the technologies found in them.

It can be recalled that the British precision driver last performed at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). He has a strong following in the country and has performed in the country for the past two decades.

In the upcoming event, Swift will wow the crowd with his signature Swift Parking stunt, J-turns, Donuts and a dance routine.

Below is the Swift’s performance schedule:

Venue: Gatwick Gateway, Clark Global City (nearest landmarks are: Medical City Clark or Hot Air Balloon Fest site)

• October 7 (Friday): 1 p.m.  / 3 p.m. / 5 p.m.
• October 8 (Saturday): 1 p.m. / 3 p.m. / 5 p.m.
• October 9 (Sunday): 1 p.m. / 3 p.m. / 5 p.m.

The three-day event is free of charge and open for everyone to enjoy. “We encourage you to come visit with your family, friends, and loved ones and make this a weekend to remember. See you there,” MIPI said in a statement.

The event is sponsored by Shell, Motul, CTEK, Sonax, PIAA, Little Trees, and Concept One.
