The performance-oriented Subaru BRZ tS made its debut at the recently-held Subiefest in California.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the new Subaru BRZ tS offers the best performance and handling capability thanks to a Subaru Tecnica international (STi)-tuned suspension and a Brembo braking system.
The said suspension system is comprised of STi-calibrated front and rear dampers from Hitatchi, which maximizes the vehicle’s light weight, ultra-low center of gravity, and precision handling.
The result, per the Sibuya-based car brand, is greater flexibility as well as better control and stability.
As for the braking solution, the Subaru BRZ tS uses gold-painted four-piston front calipers, gold-painted two-piston rear calipers, as well as large pads and rotors to enhance its stopping power, fade resistance, and pedal feel.
These Brembo-branded components are housed inside 18-inch wheels shod in 215/40 R18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires for superior grip and quicker turn-in.
Additionally, the Subaru BRZ tS benefits from the company’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. The award-winning safety system includes adaptive cruise control, a pre-collision braking system, lane departure and sway warning, and a lead vehicle start alert.
Design-wise, the Subaru BRZ tS adopts the same styling as the latest-generation BRZ but is distinguished by model-specific badging in the front grille and on the rear decklid. In addition, its exterior foldable mirrors and roof-mounted shark fin antenna come in a Crystal Black Silica finish.
Inside, the Subaru BRZ tS features a black theme with model-exclusive contrasting blue stitching on the front seat bolsters, leather-wrapped steering wheel, shifter boot, and parking brake boot.
Additional notable features include its seven-inch infotainment system.
Power comes from a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated 228-horsepower Subaru Boxer engine paired with a six-speed close-ratio manual transmission.
Pricing for the new 2024 Subaru BRZ tS will be announced later this year.
