Motor Image Pilipinas Inc. (MIPI) has announced that the spruced-up version of the XV GT is now available in the local market.
According to the exclusive local distributor of Subaru models in the Philippines, the refreshed Asian market-specific 2021 Subaru XV GT Edition is designed for the stylish, dynamic, and young-at-heart individuals who want to make a statement on the streets.
While the newly-introduced version was created again in close collaboration with renowned engineering company Giken Co. Ltd and Masahiko “Jack” Kobayashi, the latest iteration for the higher variant of the crossover was made more athletic and aggressive-looking.
The facelifted version of Subaru XV GT wears a more aggressive body kit is more aggressive thanks to its redesigned front underspoiler and additional front bumper garnishes.
The new Subaru XV GT is fortified with the four hallmark Subaru Core Technologies — namely the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Boxer Engine, Subaru Global Platform, and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology — to ensure that the vehicle provides optimized handling, maximum comfort, and enhanced safety for all its occupants.
Still powering the new Subaru XV GT is a 2.0 liter, naturally aspirated engine that is also found in the 2.0i-S EyeSight trim of the nameplate.
Aside from that, the new Subaru XV GT features the Subaru SI-DRIVE for more dynamic performance and Dual-function X-Mode for an enhanced off-road capability.
The powertrain performance management system, the SI-DRIVE allows the driver to adjust the vehicle’s output — either in Intelligent (fuel-efficient) or Sport (powerful engine response) mode.
On the other hand, the Dual-function X-Mode (which MIPI noted to be “perfectly suited for Philippine terrain”), gives the driver options to select between two different settings tailored to specific driving conditions.
“It complements Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system to allow drivers to take the road less travelled more confidently, especially on uneven or compromising surfaces and challenging inclines,” MIPI noted in a statement.
Available via pre-order, the new Subaru XV GT Edition is priced at P2.008 million and has the following color options:
Further, customers who will reserve their unit by November 30, 2021, shall be entitled to an exclusive P210,000 introductory discount. All Subaru showrooms in the Philippines are now ready to welcome customers to view the New XV GT Edition.
To note, MIPI refreshed the Subaru XV last June, which was priced at ₱1.908 million — the same pricing as with pre-facelift offering.
