Subaru to wow 2022 MIAS crowd with Russ Swift stunt show

Motor Image Pilipinas Inc. (MIPI) is set to excite fans and visitors at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) as it brings back world-renowned stunt driver and Guinness World Record holder Russ Swift.

In a statement, Swift (who last performed in the country in 2019) will also display his signature Swift Parking stunt, as well as J-turns, donuts and a "dance routine" to wow the Filipino crowd once again at the four-day event.

The British precision driver will also be showcasing the capabilities of the new Subaru Forester sport utility vehicle, the all-new BRZ sports coupe and the WRX sedan — all powered by the famous Boxer engine.

Enjoying a strong following in the country, Swift — who already performed in various parts of the country over the past two decades — said that nothing beats seeing his spectators smile while he makes his maneuvers for them.

“Motor Image Subaru is happy to have the return of Guinness World Record driver Russ Swift at MIAS to bring thrills, excitement and smiles to Subaru’s Filipino fans once again,” Tan Chong International Limited Deputy Chairman and Managing Director Glenn Tan was quoted as saying.

MIPI shared that Swift’s highly-anticipated performances (sponsored by Shell, Motul, CTEK, SONAX, PIAA, Little Trees, Concept One, and Nitto Tires) are scheduled every 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. at the much-awaited auto show.
