The Suzuki Avenis gets its fair share of the limelight at the Makina Moto Show 2023 together with the stars of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).
During the final day of the exhibit, Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) brought the scooter as well as the local basketball players in a Meet and Greet program.
It can be recalled that the motorcycle famous for its moniker “Muscular Sporty Scooter” was launched at last year's Makina Moto Show.
Powering the Suzuki Avenis is the four-stroke, single cylinder, fuel-injected 125 cubic capacity Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) engine that has an economy rating of 54 kilometers per liter (based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle).
Providing the stopping power for the vehicle is the front disc brake with Combined Brake System.
Available in Matte Metallic Black, Pearl Blaze Orange and Pearl Mirage White, the Suzuki Avenis— which is known for its affordability and good quality — is offered with an introductory price of P77,900.
While fans flocked to the Suzuki Hub to catch a glimpse of their basketball idols as well as chance up a selfie with them and get their autographs at the last day of the exhibit, they also had their eyes on the Suzuki Avenis as well.
The MPBL greats who graced the event were led by League Commissioner Kenneth Duremdes, Quezon Huskers and former De La Salle University varsity player and Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala, National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) reigning season most valuable player (MVP) Will Gozum and Philippine Collegiate Champions League finals MVP Jeric Teng with Imus SV Squad Guard Poypoy Actub and San Juan Knights and former Mapua Cardinals hoopster Adrian Nocum.
