Nearly 2,000 owners of Burgman Street threw their collective support at the Suzuki Hub in the recently-concluded Makina Moto Show 2023.
The aforementioned motorcycle owners were members of the Suzuki Burgman Street Elite Riders Club Philippines who came as far as from Butuan and Davao to attend the gathering as a show of their pride to the Burgman Street lineage.
To note, it was the three-day exhibit at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City when Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) launched the Burgman Street 125 EX and the V-Strom 1050DE.
Wearing their respective uniforms, club members cheered as the Burgman Street 125 EX was revealed to the public. Newly-hailed SPH president Koichiro Hirao gamely posed with riders from each of the chapters during the photo sessions.
Currently the Burgman series now comes in three variants: the 400 ABS priced at P529,000; Street 125 with a price tag of P82,400; and the newly launched Street 125 EX that is being retailed for P92,400.
The latest member of the Burgman roster sports a more refined styling and advanced features that, SPH said, was in response to the market’s demands.
Powering the new maxi-scooter is the 125 cubic-capacity, fuel-injected, four-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled, single overhead cam engine that can do 52.6 kilometers per liter.
It also has the Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha technology that comes with the engine auto stop-start functionality (which automatically turns the engine off when it is idle) and a silent starter system that gives the scooter a smoother and quieter start.
Further, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 EX wears an improved, full-digital instrument panel for better visibility to the rider. It also dishes out information such as the engine auto stop-start indicator, eco drive indicator, engine temperature, battery voltage indicator, digital clock, fuel gauge, oil change indicator, dual trip meter, fuel consumption, and engine check indicator.
Providing the stopping for the newly-introduced model is the combined brake system that guarantees a well-balanced deceleration by distributing braking force to both the front and rear wheels.
In addition, the new two-wheel offering is fitted with a two-liter lidded front glove box that has a USB port to juice up your mobile devices while on the go.
Moreover, the motorcycle sits on a 12-inch tubeless rear tire.
Furthermore, the Burgman Street 125 EX is also fitted with a body-mounted windscreen, upward muffler design as well as strategically-positioned LED head-,tail, and position lamps for enhanced presence on the road especially at nighttime.
Its host of safety and convenience features include side stand safety switch, one-push central locking system, 21.5-liter underseat compartment, a longer wheelbase and flexible foot position designed for comfortable riding.
Lastly, the maxi-scooter is available in two body color options namely Metallic Royal Bronze and Metallic Matte Black.
