Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) has furthered its partnership with the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) for the latter's 2023 season.
The local arm of the Japanese brand’s motorcycle division made the announcement, saying that it is the basketball league’s “Official Motorcycle Partner” for this year, bannered by the Suzuki Avenis.
The league's 2023 season, which started last March 11, is until December 31, 2023.
To note, the collaboration between the two started last year for the MPBL Finals then.
Per SPH, the crowd at the stadium will have a chance to win a brand-new Suzuki Avenis at select games during the Suzuki Halftime Half-Court Shootout.
Launched in July last year, SPH's target for the Suzuki Avenis are those who want to earn more through small businesses.
Known for its slogan “Your Muscular Sporty Scooter”, the motorcycle has a beefy yet chiseled aesthetic that perfectly matches the design of the head- and tail lamps and the stout exhaust pipe.
Powering the ride is a four-stroke, single cylinder, fuel-injected 125 cubic-capacity Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) engine that has an economy rating of 54 kilometers per liter (based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle) and can provide an output of 8.7 horsepower and 10 Newton-meters of torque.
One of its unique features is the positioning of the fuel lid as it was placed outside the compartment — allowing the rider to top up while still seated.
Further, the scooter comes in three colors namely Metallic Matte Black, Pearl Mirage White and Pearl Blaze Orange.
