Further, the vehicles displayed in its booth are a preview of what models Filipino motorists can expect from the brand.
“Suzuki’s extensive presence at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 clearly highlights the brand’s passion to create an exciting future for everyone worldwide including the Philippines. This will be evident in the new models that the brand will be introducing to the country in the years to come,” Suzuki wrote in a press release.
Featured were various solutions to those in the market for a carbon-neutral means of mobility.
As Carmudi Philippines previously reported, Suzuki’s 2023 Japan Mobility Show booth had a place for what the Japanese brand called the “two wheels of the future.”
Featured was the Suzuki Burgman e-Scooter, an electric motorbike said to be the equivalent of the 125 cubic centimeter (cc) engine-equipped Burgman Street EX, which is sold here in the Philippines.
And speaking of the Burgman nameplate, Suzuki also presented the hydrogen-powered Burgman. Based on the beefier — and expressway legal — Burgman 400, it is equipped with a 70-megapascal hydrogen tank and engine.
For Suzuki’s feature on last-mile mobility solutions, the Shizuoka-headquartered car and motorcycle firm displayed the e-PO, a foldable electric moped with a 50cc engine co-developed with Panasonic Cycle Technology.
The Suzuki e-PO utilizes battery and powertrain units of e-bikes but has a stronger assist function than ordinary electric bike models and is able to ride comfortably on automotive roads.
Suzuki also has the e-Choinori on display. It is a 50cc electric scoot — and like the abovementioned e-PO — utilizes the battery and powertrain units of Panasonic Cycle Technology e-bikes.
Also presented were various Suzuki concept cars such as the futuristic eVX, eWX and e Every Concept as well as the Spacia Concept and Spacia Custom Concepts.
The Suzuki Swift Concept also made an appearance and promised a high-efficiency engine, which strikes a balance between driving performance and fuel efficiency. In addition, it will also come with a host of advanced safety technologies including Dual Sensor Brake Support II collision mitigation braking, Adaptive High Beam System, and Driver Monitoring System.
Moreover, Suzuki’s Senior Car also offered an answer to elderlies who are looking for a means of mobility.
Suzuki’s popular models in the Philippine car and motorcycle markets — namely the Jimny, Hayabusa, V-Strom 250SX, and GSX-8S — were displayed at the brand’s 2023 Japan Mobility Show booth.
The annual motoring event has been a place for showcasing some of the hottest concept models from the best Japanese automotive brands, so it was exciting to see that some of Suzuki’s well-received nameplates in the Philippines also received their share of the spotlight at the international automotive expo.
