Suzuki Philippines has highlighted the versatile capabilities of the Avenis small displacement scooter after the motorcycle distributor staged a pair fun rides with moto vloggers and members of the motoring media — one headed East, and another South of Manila.
According to Suzuki, the participants of the said event rode the Avenis “from city roads to the outskirts of Rizal and Quezon.” Suzuki added that the group tested the capabilities of the Avenis as they braved the network of concrete and rough trails en route.
Highlighted was the Suzuki Avenis’ performance, comfort, agility, handling, and fuel economy.
Powering the Suzuki Avenis is an all-aluminum four-stroke, single-cylinder, 125 cubic capacity (cc) fuel-injected engine. Per SPI, the Suzuki Avenis clocks in at 54 kilometers per liter (kpl). It also features a sporty headlight, a sporty split-type tail lamp, a full digital instrument panel, and a 21.8-liter (L) under seat compartment.
One group traveled the Eastern route, which was a 133-kilometer (km) ride from Bonifacio Global City (BGC) to the Pinto Art Gallery in Antipolo City, then Bukid Café in Morong, Rizal, through the Marikina-Infanta Highway or more popularly known as Marilaque Road and back.
Meanwhile, the group who took on the Southern route traveled 128km from the Suzuki Philippines plant in Calamba, Laguna to the famed Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort in Tiaong, Quezon via the Los Baños-Calauan-San Pablo-Tiaong route and back as well.
“We’re happy to have prepared this day for our media friends to test and to give an overall ride evaluation of the new Avenis. We have designed routes that will provide interesting backdrops to the new product that we have just recently launched, knowing that these will add interest to the stories they will create,” said Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPI) Motorcycle Marketing Manager Nenuka Guba.
Fort Manahan, Managing Editor of Carmudi Philippines, attested to the Suzuki Avenis’ mettle. “The Suzuki Avenis has a comfortable riding position. Despite my height (6’2") it did not give me back pains.”
The Suzuki Avenis is priced at P79,400 and is available in three colorways; Pearl Mirage White/Metallic Fibroin Gray; Metallic Matte Black/Glass Sparkle Black; and Pearl Blaze Orange/Glass Sparkle Black.
